This week we received news that Yoshikazu Kawaguchi, our great sensei and the star of our 2015 documentary, Final Straw: Food, Earth, Happiness, has passed. This story/essay explores a small slice of Kawaguchi, the natural farming leader whose ideas can translate into a better life, both in the countryside and in the city.
Thanks for the obituary. I am glad that he shared freely his wisdom for the conference I organized almost exactly two years ago. Has there ever been any english translation of Standing in a Strange Field?
His wisdom has sure made its rounds! Some time ago the co-producer of our film had thought to start a translation project (I think it was the title you mention), but we could never really get it going. So far as I know, there is no English translation of it.
